MANILA, Philippines — An undermanned Meralco played with grit but fell short in its second half rally to surrender a 77-74 decision to the Rykukyu Golden Kings in their East Asia Super League Season 2 home-and-away tournament Wednesday night at the Okinawa Arena in Okinawa, Japan.
Allen Durham, who helped Ryukyu win the 2023 Japan B.League championship, missed his last-second three-point attempt just before time expired, allowing the Golden Kings to escape with the season debut win.
