MANILA, Philippines — Defending champ De La Salle University displayed its championship poise in overtime to top University of Santo Tomas, 94-87, and clinched its fifth straight win in the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday.
Kevin Quiambao poured a career-high 29 points on top of nine rebounds, and three assists to power the Green Archers, who went on a 10-1 run to start the extra period to bury the Growling Tigers, 91-81, in the last 1:53.
