CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The number of students in both public and private learning institutions are declining, data from the Department of Education (DepEd) show.
DepEd Regional Director Nicolas Capulong reported that from school year 2022 to 2024, the number of students enrolled is steadily declining with senior high school students on a steep decline from 848,823 enrollees in 2022 to only 70,347 registered students in 2024.
