DSWD pushes community-driven strategies

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said community-driven programs such as Kapitbisig Laban sa Kahirapan Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS) were crucial to poverty alleviation.

'Kalahi-CIDSS strives for sustainability and institutionalization, as many individuals still need assistance,' Kalahi-CIDSS National Program Manager Bernadette Mapue-Joaquin said on Friday.
