FORMER secretary of Trade and Industry Alfredo Pascual expressed his strong support for the Chamber's work program advocacy: Economic Compass Pillars 5 (Ecomp-P5) "Navigating the Future" during his visit to the historical Chamber of Commerce of the Philippine Islands Inc. (Chamber) building on Oct. 3, 2024.
The Chamber as the Provenance and the oldest business institution with a heritage landmark has been given Historical Markers by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) in three languages (Spanish, English and Filipino) in acknowledgment of its legacy since its creation by Royal Decree on April 9, 1886, by Queen Regent Maria Cristina of Spain.
