ONE of the most polarizing topics to emerge in the 2024 campaign for the US presidency is a massive, 922-page plan published by the ultraconservative Heritage Foundation, dubbed "Project 2025." Although Republican candidate Donald Trump and his campaign staff have sought to distance themselves from it, the Democratic party has seized on the existence of Project 2025 as evidence of Trump's threat to democracy.
