Reynaldo Gempero Jr. ruled the 25th Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE) Southern Mindanao Regional Conference Open Chess Tournament on October 3, 2024, at the SMX Lanang in Davao City.
Gempero finished the seven-round Swiss system tournament with 6.0 points, tied for first place with National Master Macacuna 'Allan' Macala.
