Brownlee sparks Ginebra scoring rampage, routs SMB in semis opener

MANILA, Philippines — Justin Brownlee sparked Barangay Ginebra's massive run in the middle quarters as the Gin Kings rolled past the San Miguel Beermen, 122-105 to kick off their PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup semifinal series on a fiery note on Wednesday at the Philsports Arena.

The 36-year-old Brownlee accounted for 28 of Ginebra's 70-point output in the second and third periods, a key stretch that enabled the league's most popular squad to pull away after trailing by one point in the first quarter.
