Balingit to run for councilor in Cebu City

CEBU CITY — Aside from Acting Cebu City Mayor Dondon Hontiveros, another former professional basketball player has entered the local political scene for the 2025 midterm elections.

Bonel Balingit, famously known as the 'Gentle Giant' in pro basketball, filed his certificate of candidacy for Cebu City councilor for the South District on Monday.
