VINFAST has officially launched its VF 3 mini-SUV on Sept. 17, 2024, marking the first international introduction of the model outside its home market of Vietnam. With bold claims of offering better comfort, weather protection, and an operating cost comparable to that of A-segment cars and gasoline motorbikes, the VF 3 is expected to revolutionize the local electric vehicle (EV) landscape.

The VF 3's introduction comes at a crucial time for the Philippines, where the EV market is gaining momentum. The mini-SUV, priced at P645,000 (with battery subscription) and P745,000 (with battery purchase), is positioned as an affordable and efficient EV option. However, beyond its competitive pricing, the real value proposition lies in the VF 3's significantly lower operating costs compared to traditional gasoline-powered vehicles.
