NISSAN is celebrating a major milestone as its high-performance division, Nismo (Nissan Motorsport International Co. Ltd.), marked last month its 40th anniversary. Established on Sept. 17, 1984, Nismo has become synonymous with Nissan's dedication to speed, innovation and exhilaration both on the racetrack and on the road.
Founded in Omori, Tokyo, Nismo has been the powerhouse behind some of Nissan's most iconic motorsports achievements and performance vehicles. The division has championed the philosophy of "Track to Road," applying lessons learned from the rigors of the racetrack to enhance the performance and driving experience of everyday Nissan road cars.
