CEBU CITY — The Office of the Ombudsman has lifted the preventive suspension of 32 local officials in Bohol, including five mayors, in connection with the controversial Captain's Peak Garden and Resort built within the Chocolate Hills protected area.

The 25-page decision dated July 31, which was released on Oct. 1, 2024, cited the need for justice and fair play in lifting the suspension.
