ILOILO CITY — The National Bureau of Investigation Western Visayas (NBI-6) reported that cybercrimes and issues related to online interactions are the most common complaints they receive from residents in the region.

NBI-6 acting director Atty. Jeremiah Sargado said that as of September this year, they received 51 complaints related to the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, or Republic Act (RA) 10175, although the figure is significantly lower compared last year when NBI-6 recorded 129 cybercrime-related complaints.
