The truth about the Chinese economy

MY problem with many YouTube reports concerns their headlines which are often exaggerated and for that reason are misleading. A case in point is the state of the Chinese economy. From the headlines, you get the impression that the Chinese economy has collapsed. You sit through the report, and you find out that it has not really happened.

The country's official media admit that China will not meet its earlier announced target of 5-percent growth in 2024. The growth rate will be hovering over 4 percent. Actually, this is not much behind those of the fastest growing in Asia. It is certainly higher than those expected by developed economies. Surely it is only half or less of those during the time when China's economy phenomenally shot up to second place after the United States. The International Monetary Fund (IMF), being an intergovernmental organization, will not depart, if at all, from government sources.
