MANILA, Philippines — The University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses shook off the emotional baggage of their premature celebration in Game 2 and secured the 2024 V-League Women's Collegiate Challenge title with a commanding 24-26, 25-20, 25-21, 25-14 victory over the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws in their sudden death at the Philsports Arena in Pasig on Friday.
Despite a stumble in the first set, the Golden Tigresses demonstrated their composure and determination, knowing they had the firepower to subdue the Lady Tams. They swept the next three sets, with a dominant fourth set performance erasing the sting of their previous game's dramatic conclusion.
