MANILA, Philippines — The storm signal raised over Batanes has been lifted as Typhoon "Julian" made landfall over southern Taiwan, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Thursday.
Pagasa Administrator Nathaniel Servando said the typhoon would likely exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) Friday night or early Saturday morning.
