Iloilo governor selects mayor as running mate

ILOILO CITY — In a surprising move, Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. has picked Anilao Mayor Nathalie Ann Debuque as his vice governor in the 2025 midterm elections.

The governor, who's seeking a third term, announced Debuque's candidacy on Monday, after Debuque took her oath as a member of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), the political party of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
