PH manufacturing sees growth surge

FACTORY activity accelerated in September on higher growth in new orders and output, S&P Global said on Tuesday.

The manufacturing purchasing managers' index (PMI) for the country — a measure of the sector's performance — rose to 53.7 from 51.2 in August.
