MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) activated its shelter clusters in areas of Luzon affected by Super Typhoon "Julian."
DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar said that he has instructed Undersecretary for Disaster Response Randy Escolango to issue a memorandum to the regional offices in Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) and Cordillera Administrative Region ordering the activation of their respective shelter clusters.
