A NATIONWIDE bamboo planting activity and a municipal ordinance institutionalizing the implementation of the pliant tree for biodiversity conservation were among the highlights of the National Bamboo Month celebration recently held in Nueva Vizcaya.
The plans were laid out by key stakeholders who converged at the Provincial Bamboo Industry Development Council meeting in Bayombong and were led by the province's Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). About 40 participants represented the provincial and municipal local government units, bamboo associations and other partner agencies.
