Magnolia routs Rain or Shine by 52 points

Magnolia's unforgiving defense snuffed the life out of Rain or Shine as it rolled to a lopsided 121-69 win in Game 2, equalizing their PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup best-of-five quarterfinal series at 1-1 on Friday at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex in Laguna.

The Hotshots' defense was at its absolute best in the second period when they held the running-and-gunning Elasto Painters to just five points on a 2-of-18 shooting, on the way to a 66-28 halftime lead.
