COTABATO CITY — Officials of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) has called for the postponement of the first ever regional parliamentary elections on 2025 following the recent Supreme Court decision of excluding Sulu province from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The BTA said the postponement for the parliamentary elections slated in May 2025 would allow BARMM parliament officials to amend the Bangsamoro Autonomy Act 58, the law governing the creation of parliamentary districts.
