TO sustain the implementation of various science, technology and innovation, programs, the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has allocated a total of P8.8 billion for the Grants-in-Aid (GIA) Program, which has been implemented by the Department of Science and Technology (DoST).

"This GIA Program aims to spur economic growth through the strategic application of science and technology. By providing grants or funding to projects and proposals aligned with the DoST's priorities and thrusts, the program intends to foster innovation and drive sustainable development," President Marcos said in his budget message.
