SOME people would diminish the political importance of the meeting between incumbent Vice President Sara Duterte and former vice president Leni Robredo. Many defenders of Robredo are now even taking offense at former senator Antonio Trillanes IV criticizing Robredo for meeting Duterte.

Trillanes took Robredo to task, implying that she should not have entertained Duterte, considering that the latter has been disrespectful of Sen. Risa Hontiveros, a Robredo ally, and that the political opposition is even considering filing an impeachment case against the vice president.
