Did our top ally the US nearly ignite nuclear war?

IT may be hard — or harrowing — to believe: the account of former United Nations arms inspector and United States Marines ex-intelligence officer Scott Ritter that nuclear war nearly erupted between America and Russia because President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom were set to let Ukraine attack Russia with long-range missiles from the US and the UK primed by American and British soldiers.

'We almost all died on Saturday, we almost all died on Saturday,' Ritter told podcaster and retired Princeton- and Notre Dame-educated New Jersey judge Andrew Napolitano, referring to September 21. 'That's not a bluff. That's not exaggeration. We were 72 minutes away from the world ending.'
