Acidre named Edcom commissioner

TINGOG Party-list Rep. Jude Acidre has been named as commissioner of the Second Congressional Commission on Education (Edcom 2), replacing former Negros Occidental representative Jose Francisco Benitez, who became the director-general of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

Edcom 2 is the national body responsible for conducting an 'in-depth assessment and evaluation of the Philippine education system's overall performance.'
