MANILA, Philippines — Rain or Shine showed maturity and composure down the stretch to outlast Magnolia, 109–105 en route to taking a 1-0 lead in their PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup best-of-5 quarterfinal series on Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Down by 10 points early in the last period, the Elasto Painters launched a fiery 25-14 windup from there to complete the reversal and take the opening game of the series against the Hotshots.
