BACOLOD CITY — The city treasurer of Sagay City in Negros Occidental is facing investigation after her failure to release P7.3 million in health emergency allowance (HEA) for the 93 frontline care workers of the city.

Mayor Narciso Javelosa Jr. said on Monday that on August 27, nurses, doctors and other health workers went to his office to complain that despite the arrival of their P7.3 million HEA, they still had not received what was due them.
