National Printing Office has nothing to do with printing of PH passports

THIS is with reference to the news article titled 'Data from 28M passports at risk,' placed as the headline for the Sept. 20, 2024 issue of The Manila Times, written by Ms. Bernadette E. Tamayo.

Please be informed that the news article made mention of the National Printing Office (NPO) suggesting that the government agency printed the Philippine passports for the Department of Foreign Affairs. An excerpt of the news article provides, to wit:
