Power plant says operation has no major impact on environment

CEBU CITY — Amid accusations from environmental protection groups that its operations bring harm to the protected Tañon Strait, a coal-fired power plant is highlighting its use of advanced technology to mitigate environmental impact.

Advocates have raised significant alarm about the potential risks posed by the plant, which is situated close to a vital marine biodiversity area in Tañon Strait.
