PALO, Leyte — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 8 (Eastern Visayas) alerted the public to an alleged human trafficking scheme after the agency denied clearances for 12 students flying to Taiwan for a three-year scholarship program.

DSWD FO8 Jonalyndie Chua said on Monday that students traveling outside the country for scholarships must provide an admission notice, a certificate of enrollment, and a student visa.
