LAST Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, I was asked by the convenors to deliver a plenary lecture for the Philippine Historical Association's annual conference at the University of the Philippines Los Baños. The PHA is celebrating its 69th anniversary this year. The theme of the conference was "Kasaysayan ng Kasaysayan: Mga Historiograpiya ng Kasaysayang Pilipino Mula 1955," the year of the association's founding, which is basically how Philippine history was written in the past seven decades.
