THE Chamber of Commerce of the Philippine Islands (CCPI) is the provenance, oldest business institution and heritage landmark with deep roots in the country's history.

The structure has long been a symbol of civic pride, given Historical Markers by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) in three languages — Spanish, English and Filipino — in recognition of its status since its founding by Royal Decree on April 9, 1886, by Queen Regent of Spain, Maria Cristina.
