Landfill operator told to fix health concerns

CEBU CITY — The operator of the Binaliw landfill here has been instructed to resolve various environmental and health concerns, including the persistent foul odor and contaminated water reportedly emanating from the facility.

Acting Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia, along with councilors Pastor Alcover Jr., Edgardo 'Jaypee' Labella, and Joel Garganera, conducted a follow-up inspection of the landfill on Sept. 20, 2024.
