MANILA, Philippines— As the southwest monsoon or habagat temporarily weakened, the easterlies will prevail in most areas of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.
The easterlies - winds coming from the east that pass through the Pacific Ocean that carry humid and warm weather - are affecting the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao.
