UE stuns La Salle for second straight win

MANILA, Philippines — UE started strong and held off defending champ De La Salle down the stretch to chalk up its second straight win, 75-71, in the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday, September 22.

John Abate racked up five rebounds and 20 points including the two free throws that secured the win for the Red Warriors, who rose to joint third with a 2-2 slate.
