Jerusalem outclasses Mexican foe to retain WBC crown

MANILA, Philippines — Filipino boxer Melvin Jerusalem made sure to let his countrymen rejoice after scoring a convincing unanimous decision win over Mexican foe Luis Castillo to successfully defend his WBC minimumweight title on Sunday at the Mandaluyong City College Gymnasium.

Jerusalem raised his fist proudly after handing Castillo his first defeat in his entire career.
