LAOAG CITY — An incumbent barangay captain was gunned down on Friday night by an unidentified attacker in Barangay 5 San Silvestre, San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, a report reaching the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Ilocos Norte said.

The Ilocos PNP identified the victim as Jojo Bagay, married, and a first-term barangay captain.
