JOLO — Authorities raided a convergence area along a road in Barangay Bus-bus in Jolo, resulting in a confiscation of 51 boxes of smuggled cigarettes worth P1,887,000 on September 15.

The raiders, composed of personnel from Jolo Municipal Police Station (MPS), in collaboration with the 140th Regional Mobile Force Company-B, together with operatives from the Provincial Intelligence Unit of Sulu PPO, CIDG-Sulu and RIU PIT, were pArompted by a tip provided by a concerned citizen regarding the presence of smuggled goods in the area.
