MANILA, Philippines — Ateneo de Manila survived Adamson's fightback, 60-51, to take its first win in the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday.
Ian Espinosa and Shawn Tuano drilled a combined six free throws to seal the win for the Blue Eagles, who led by as many as 16, 44-28, but saw it trim down to three, 54-51.
