CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) Mimaropa (Mindoro Occidental and Oriental, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) said it has already implemented the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (Tupad) that benefited 5,934 fishermen who are members of the Hanay ng Yumayabong at Umuunlad na Mangingisda (Hayuma).
The DoLE–Mimaropa said these fishermen, who were affected by the oil spill, were paid a total of P71,834,429 for rendering a 30-day work in the community.
