PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s belligerent foreign policy toward China over our territorial "and/or" maritime disputes with the Asian superpower in the South China Sea, started by Aquino III, has been a colossal debacle.

Aquino lost Scarborough Shoal in 2012. Just in the past two months, Marcos lost Ayungin and Sabina shoals, despite his and his officials' delusion that the two are still under Philippine control.
