MANILA, Philippines — Pao Javillonar, who missed the first two games of the season, came in ready to play for Letran in Season 100 of the NCAA men's basketball tournament.
He worked hard during the off season, shed some weight and embraced the new system of head coach Allen Ricardo.
Season 99 was forgettable for the Knights after finishing with two wins and 16 losses.
Three games into the league's centennial season, Letran has already matched its win total last year after the Knights took down the Arellano University Chiefs for a 2-1 win-loss card.
It was Javillonar who stepped up for the Knights after scoring a career-high 28 points, eight rebounds, two steals and two blocks against the Chiefs.
