THE Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) approved in August a total of P16.21 billion in new and expansion projects, bringing the number of authorized projects last month to 43.
From January to August, verified projects totaled 165, with a combined value of P61.695 billion and which could generate 31,827 direct jobs — 72.91 percent higher than the 18,407 jobs created in the same period last year.
