MUCH has been said about the state of electricity service in the country's capital, but over the past years, power issues hounding those beyond Metro Manila have come to light.

These issues go beyond high electricity rates. Insufficient supply, inefficient service and inability of distributors to carry out their mandate is a big problem. Imagine only a few hours of electricity availability, frequent brownouts, and the worst — no electricity at all.
