MANILA, Philippines — Nearly 1,000 firearms were either seized or collected by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) during its "Oplan Katok," its director, Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan said on Monday.
Under Oplan Katok, the Philippine National Police (PNP) conducts house-to-house visits to remind gun holders to renew their licenses or voluntarily turn over unregistered firearms for police safekeeping, Maranan said.
