A US Federal Reserve rate cut this week could propel the stock market higher following its return to the 7,000 level, analysts said.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) finally closed above 7,000 points last week, hitting 7,024.67 on Thursday after continued intraday highs beginning Monday.
