300 evacuated from Kanlaon danger zone

ILOILO CITY — Nearly 300 residents from the four-kilometer permanent danger zone of Mt. Kanlaon in the upland village of Biak Na Bato, La Castellana, has been evacuated to a local public school.

In case of escalating volcanic activity, Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City was identified as a main evacuation center for residents from La Castellana, La Carlota, Bago City, San Carlos City and Moises Padilla.
