KYIV — Three staff members of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) were killed and two more were wounded on Thursday after the site of a planned frontline aid distribution in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region was shelled.

The distribution of humanitarian assistance had not begun when the shelling occured. Residents there were not affected.
