MANILA, Philippines — Intensifying into a severe tropical storm, "Bebinca" (international name) is predicted to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Friday night as a typhoon, the state-run weather agency said on Thursday.
Estimated some 1, 975 kilometers east of Central Luzon, the trough of the severe tropical storm is affecting particularly the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas, weather specialist Benison Estareja said.
